Recent Work
Bellamy Printz
Continuing her exploration of memory and gesture through found photographs, printmaking, and painting, Printz’s new work expands technical and material boundaries. “My creative process generally
starts with a level of discovery where I look through old photographs and contact sheets taken by family members over the last 100 years,” says the artist. “I am the only child of only children, and in my
father’s case, to two generations of avid photographers. So, I have a lot of material to explore.” Through the meditative process of navigating the imagery, Printz finds hidden moments that she then
develops into works on paper.
